I purchased 2 colors khaki and black and also 2 sizes, medium and black. I needed a short that was a bit modest for work yet would still look fashionable and attractive on. They also needed to be light weight and comfortable. I really can't say enough about the quality of these short. The material is light weight, dries quickly, fits wonderfully and super versatile. All I have to do is change up the size or color and I have a totally different look. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I'm 5'0" and 114 lbs and ordered a small. They fit true to size. These shorts have a basic elastic waistband and drawstring. There are open pockets and zippered pockets on each leg. I feel like they run longer than 5" but that's likely partially because the leg is wider than most of my other shorts.My other hiking shorts (which cost about 3x as much as these) are a thicker, ripstop fabric. I'm hesitant to consider these true hiking shorts. I feel like they wouldn't get rubbed if sliding down rocks, but a branch caught on this fabric could tear it.I'm not a fan of the waistband. It is comfortable, but not flattering. And the wide legs of the shorts make them even more unflattering. The fabric is a soft nylon, almost like a thin board shorts. I'm not crazy about the look and can't really see myself wearing these much other than possibly over my swimsuit.
I like these shorts. They have a lot of pockets. I like the waist tie so I can customize the size to my waist. The d-ring on the front is handy for clipping on keys, etc. The fabric is light, breathes, and feels good against my skin. I ordered a size up because I wasn't sure about fit, but these are true to size (meaning my upsizing left me with big ol' shorts). I can fit my phone in most of the pockets, which is a bonus. These shorts are a little pricey, but they are well made and should last many seasons. Overall a great pair of shorts.
Okay, I now wear these (or want to wear them), daily. What an awesome price for a great pair of active summer shorts! Their material is lightweight & breathable + UPF 50, all of which I greatly appreciate in sunny warm/hot conditions. The pockets fit my extra large new cellphone + its case without a struggle, & they still look neat due to their lines + way they lay/fit.These are my new summer staple.In the photo they have been dug from my clean laundry bin as I have wore, washed, and dried them 2-3 times now. No change at all, and they are easily unwrinkled. True quality material + construction + extremely comfortable.Such a bang for the buck you can't really go wrong here.Fit is true to size as well.

I obtained these shorts for my daughter that loves shorts/pants with pockets. She normally wears medium and usually good fit if states medium.1. Quality - It is very lightweight as described which is also because it is very thin. So yep, lighter is better when you want to walk a lot with less weight.2. Size - Usually she fits mediums right but when she wore these they seem tight in some areas which made her form look buldgy....which you know teens they would not want that. Then again I would it either. So yes as other reviews indicated, go up a size, and actually if you prefer a lot more room around belly for those women like me that hit that time in life where we don't like anything touching our belly, then go up two sizes!3. Value - As long as you read and know what you are getting, it is a great value for light weight shorts! Typical price of shorts.Pockets are the bonus and I mean not the usual pockets, but additional ones as we tend to not like to carry purses so this helps with being on the move without needing additional purse or bag....and yep for hiking!
Really digging these shorts. I like the material a lot, it is thin and helps keep me cool. It makes a slight swishy sound when I walk haha but it's not a problem. These are made very well, stitching is nice. I love the pocket space. A lot of times with women's clothing I find that the pockets are short and can't put a lot in them so I was impressed that these are deep enough to hold my phone and still zip up nicely to protect it. I definitely need to get me some more of these shorts because they've becoming my favorite. I can definitely recommend them.
